Maybelline Lasting Drama Black Shock 36H Gel Liner Pen ♥ Review

Maybelline Lasting Drama Black Shock 36H Gel Liner Pen ♥ Review

As soon as i saw this on the Maybelline counter, i was like.. "OMG its a dupe for Benefits They're Real Push-up Liner?!" I was thinking for a while to get the one from Benefit. But i was never quiet ready to spend 25€ for an eyeliner. So im glad i found this lil' Baby which cost half the price, 12,-€

Im  a huge Fan of Gel Eyeliner because of its matt and pigmented texture. They usually come in little pots.

Im always bummed out of grabbing an extra brush dipping, applying, dipping, applying... and cleaning the brush. :(
I don't know about you but for me its toooooo long of a process for me in the morning :D
And this idea of a pen that squeezes out gel liner seems genius in my eyes.

Benefit apparently has that special AccuFlex tip...? I'm not quiet sure what it is.. if its rubber or fur xD Sadly i never had it on my hands.

Maybellines one has a rubber tip, at first when i saw it i was a bit shocked and thought: I don't want to cut my eyes? But actually its so soft and flexible.

If you twist the bottom the product will come out of the tip. It even says 1 Click.
And Oh Boy.... you definetly just need 1 Click. Theres so much product comin out, i was scared i wouldn't be able to control it on Application.

After i've done some testing on my hand, i was so disappointed because it looks so streaky and unpigmented after one swipe (as you can see on the pic). With 2 coats it was fine.

Application

If you can apply your eyeliner with a Peneyeliner (felt tip) this shud be easy for you. It glides on smoothly and deep black. Its super soft and not stiff at all.
For the sake of showing you the color and liner i left out mascara, sorry for 'em sad lashes :)

Here i applied it how i wud normally do, rather thick but not too much, so easy with this pen. Filling out gaps was quick. Cateyes for this liner is an easy job.

I tried thin lines aswell, its a bit tricky because there is so much product, but if you start from the outside corner its alright.

Smudging this is easy peasy too. You just have to be quick since it dries very quickly and the color will stay where it is ~
Here i tried it on the bottom lash.

I wore it on a very very VERY hot day for arround 13h. It did not smudge not come off at all. I've got serious oily Eyelids and its rare that any Liner will stay on its plays for longer than 5h. Im so suprised this held up. In a few Reviews i read it actually came off and went everywhere.

All in all i love it! I'd def repurchase it. It's so fast and easy in the morning.
Would you suggest me that i should try Benefits? Please let me know of its worth it! :)

Have a lovely day. ♥
